About
Corporate Information

Becarv, founded by Michaël and Eric Jeanty in 2011, began as a privately-owned family business. Initially focused on manufacturing customized technical solutions for aseptic operations in the biopharmaceutical sector, the company has recently introduced the Closed Seeding Unit, a groundbreaking equipment for the initial stages of cell-based manufacturing. Backed by two Walloon investors, Becarv continues to advance technologies that ensure contamination control and process integrity.

Development Programs

With the growing adoption of single-use devices in biomanufacturing, the industry is increasingly focused on improving control over contamination risks throughout production processes. Regulatory bodies are reinforcing this trend by recommending the closure of upstream manufacturing steps to enhance both process quality and product safety. These evolving standards highlight the need for innovative technologies that align with the industry’s goals of achieving greater sterility and efficiency.

In response to these demands, Becarv has strategically expanded its initial field of expertise to address the industry’s most pressing challenges. The company’s first major step in this direction is the development of the Closed Seeding Unit (CSU), a single-use system designed to close the critical first step: the inoculation of cell lines into culture.

It automates the inoculation process with a self-disinfection mechanism to minimize contamination risks, and as a digitalized piece of equipment, it records data in real time, ensuring traceability and reproducibility of operations.

Looking ahead, Becarv is actively developing additional technologies aimed at closing other vulnerable steps in the manufacturing process. These solutions are designed to further strengthen contamination control, improve production quality, and enhance the safety of biopharmaceutical products. This commitment positions Becarv as a key player in advancing the standards of biomanufacturing technologies.

Becarv’s Values

Our values are those that guide our customers – We speak the same language.

Safety First

Becarv is committed to producing high-quality equipment and customized technical solutions that effectively control contamination risks, ensuring the enhanced safety of its clients’ bio-manufactured products.

Ultimate Quality

For over 10 years, Becarv has been recognized as a trusted partner in the industry, known for its expertise and ability to deliver high-quality equipment that ensures the reliability of its customers’ aseptic operations and bio-manufacturing processes.

Continuous Improvement

Becarv develops groundbreaking technical solutions that minimize manual interventions in biopharmaceutical operations, enhancing the overall operational efficiency of its clients’ processes.

Our Approach

As a trusted partner in the biopharmaceutical industry, Becarv has developed a comprehensive methodology for designing and constructing equipment that meets both process requirements and client expectations:

01.

Identification of Client Needs

Becarv works closely with each client to define precise project requirements through collaborative workshops and technical discussions. Together, we develop a detailed User Requirement Specification (URS), ensuring that every proposed solution is tailored to operational objectives, regulatory obligations, and site-specific constraints. This stage lays the foundation for a design that is both compliant and optimized for the client’s processes.

02.

Engineering & Manufacturing

Becarv’s design office prepares the complete equipment file and manufacturing plan, which are shared with the client for review and approval (signature and purchase order). Once approved, production is initiated in accordance with industry standards. Throughout manufacturing, we conduct initial quality controls and pre-qualification activities based on the ASTM E2500 verification approach, following Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) protocols before delivery.

03.

Installation & Qualification

Following successful FAT, Becarv coordinates the delivery and installation of equipment at the client’s site, carried out by cleanroom-trained technicians. We perform on-site qualification in line with the ASTM E2500 verification approach, following Site Acceptance Test (SAT) protocols to verify mechanical performance, functional operation, airflow laminarity, and filter integrity. As part of the process, we provide staff training when specified in the contract, ensuring smooth operation from day one.

04.

Support Services

Beyond installation, Becarv provides ongoing technical support to maintain peak performance and regulatory compliance throughout the equipment’s lifecycle. Our services include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and periodic inspections, as well as equipment re-qualification and upgrades in response to evolving client needs or industry standards. All activities are delivered under the framework of a Service Level Agreement (SLA), ensuring consistent reliability and peace of mind.

Our Certifications

Becarv upholds internal Quality and Safety policies that guide our daily operations.

We take pride in presenting our certifications, which emphasize our commitment to excellence and precision across all our services. These accreditation reflect our continuous dedication to meeting the highest industry standards, ensuring the quality and reliability of our work.
